Candle in the Dark Communications is operated by Sara Carney, a communications professional based in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Sara has nearly a decade of experience in the field of science communication and has spent her career focusing on health, environmental and natural resource communications. She holds a master of science in Science & Technology Journalism and a bachelor of science in Biomedical Sciences and Wildlife & Fisheries sciences, all from Texas A&M University.
She has worked in communications for Texas Sea Grant College Program, Augusta University College of Nursing and the Texas A&M University School of Veterinary Medicine. As a freelance writer, she has contributed articles to National Geographic, The National Academy of Sciences, The Center for the Advancement of Science in Space and Science Editor magazine.
